Evie's baptism

On Sunday, January 5th we had Evie baptized in our church. This was such a special Sunday and I am so glad we got to share this with our families. We were so glad to have Pastor Jeff baptize her because he married Gray and I so we knew how special it would be to have him do this. Evie did such a good job throughout the whole thing. She of course was hamming it up and "talking" while Pastor Jeff was reading. When he walked her around the church she was all smiles. Gray and I look forward to being able to raise our little girl in this church! After church my mom hosted all of our families at her house for a delicious lunch!

Seven months old

Evie is 7 months old!!! Time is flying by...we are now in 2014 which means she will be ONE YEAR OLD before I know it! She is at such a fun age right now and I am just loving every minute with her. This week has been a little rough because she started "school" yesterday and I was one sad momma! It was my last day of break so my sweet hubby took the day off. We decided to take Evie there for a little while to get adjusted and we could get some stuff done around the house. I knew it wasn't going to be easy, but I know she is in good hands. Evie is such a social little girl so I know she will do great there. She is the only girl in her class right now and already has a "boyfriend" in the two days she has been there. Her teacher told me they play non-stop! It seems like Gray and I already have our hands full!:)
Evie seems to be constantly growing. She is wearing some 6 months still, but 9 months seem to fit my long legged girl better! She has become such a good little sleeper. She is taking 3 short naps a day which I think is fabulous! They really help her sleep better at night because she is not as restless.
She is also a great eater! She eats a fruit for lunch and now is eating a fruit and veggie for dinner. We started trying the Sippy cup and puffs. She knows that both go in her mouth, but has trouble holding the Sippy cup upright to actually get anything out. She enjoys the puffs, but like the cup she can't get them in her mouth. They all end up on the floor (good for Murray) or in her high chair. It is absolutely precious to watch her grab them and try to get them in her mouth.
Evie loves to play on the floor with all of her new toys. She would rather be there than anywhere else. She still enjoys her Exer-Saucer, but only for so long. She will get fussy when she is ready to get out.
Each day brings a new adventure and I seriously wouldn't trade any minute of it. Evie brings so much joy to our lives and I just love her to pieces.

2013 Recap

2013 has by far been one of the best years of my life! I thought it would be fun to look back and recap some of my favorite moments.

Our gender reveal party was one of my favorite memories from this past year! All of our family was there and everyone was so excited to find out what we were having!
IT'S A GIRL!!!!!

One of the last pictures I was able to take with my granddaddy. This picture will always be one of my favorites. He was so excited about having a great granddaughter! I know he would have loved and spoiled her so much!

Last pregnancy picture as we literally were walking out the door, mid-contraction and all, heading to the hospital.

Experiencing pregnancy with some of my closest friends was so much fun. Being able to share stories, experiences, feelings and emotions was pretty awesome! (Bridgette, you should have been in this pic too!!)

Here we are months later with our babies!

(Shell I had to include you ;) )

First baby shower at the Medlin's house with
close friends and family!

First beach trip

Introducing Murray to his little sister!

Evie's first holidays
First Thanksgiving

Meeting Santa for the first time!

Best moment of course would be when our precious Evie came into the world. God's work truly is amazing!
I will always cherish this picture.
There are no words needed...this picture says it all!

Getting ready to take our sweet, healthy baby girl home!
