Christmas Morning

Santa definitely came to see Evie and brought all kinds of goodies. She isn't quite old enough to understand what is going on, but she does love everything he brought her. When she woke up Christmas morning we walked her into the living room and she was in awe of everything. She went straight for her new baby doll first and has loved it ever since. Santa definitely did good with the baby doll and car seat. She is getting in her practice now for when her baby brother comes. Christmas morning has a whole new meaning when you have a child. I loved being at home with my family and seeing the joy in Evie's eyes as she played with all of her new toys.

She had to try on her new shoes.

Love this picture of Evie feeding her baby

Christmas Pictures 2014

For the past three years one of my best friends has taken Christmas pictures for us. Every year they turn out really great! At the age Evie is right now it was definitely a lot harder to get her to sit still for them, but we managed to get a good many! Thanks Shelley for capturing these sweet moments for us.

18 Months Old

Evie turned 18 months old this past week! I want to remember all the little things she does and says because this is such a fun age!

Evie loves to eat and doesn't like when dinner time is over! Her favorite foods are chicken, "nanas", applesauce, veggie sticks, grilled cheese, corn, bread, pancakes, and cheerios. She still loves to drink milk and is OBSESSED with tea. Partly our fault because we let her have some one day and now all we hear is "tea, tea". I do make decaf tea because of being pregnant so we don't worry as much about letting her have some. She also likes apple juice and lemonade.

Evie is wearing mostly 24 month clothes. She can still wear some of her 18 month clothes and can wear some 2T stuff depending on how it is made. She goes to the doctor Tuesday so I look forward to finding out how much she has grown! She seems to get taller and taller everyday!

Evie is still a pretty good sleeper. When she is at home she will nap up to 3 hours and at school she will usually nap anywhere from 1 hour to 2 hours. She goes to bed at 8:00 most nights and wakes up around 7:15 or so.

Evie has started talking a lot more and the way she says her words is about the cutest thing I have ever heard! Words she can say: Tea, applesauce, please, thank you, oh no, uh oh, mommy, daddy, Murray or a version of it ;), night-night, pacie, car, hey, bye, toes, shoes, sock, go, okay, monkey, Cocky, hot dog (because of Mickey Mouse) , and amen. Of course some of these words she says aren't perfect, but we know what she means when she says them. One of her favorites is to say "Go Cocky". Anytime she sees football on the TV she will say "Go Cocky". She can say her own name now too and it sounds more like "Ebie" instead of Evie :).

Evie loves to watch Mickey Mouse. Anytime it is on she will sit and watch an entire episode. She likes to dance to the hot dog song at the end of each show. She loves Pete the Cat and loves the Pete the Cat version of Wheels on the Bus. She knows different parts of the song. She still loves bath time and doesn't like to get out of the tub. Evie loves books and most of her toys. She has become quite obsessed with her pacie, especially now that she can say the word and knows where we keep them.
Here are some pictures of her from Thanksgiving Break.
18 months old today!

She posed this way on her own...I can't even
 handle how cute this is.

It really is hard to put into words how much joy Evie brings to our lives. She is so sweet with the cutest personality. I am beyond blessed!

Busy Month

October has been one of the busiest months for us! It has been a GOOD busy filled with lots of exciting things! We went to the Edisto for Gray's big 4-0 and had a blast. Our closest friends came to help celebrate and the weekend was filled with lots of laughs, fun and of course food! This was a kid-free weekend which allowed for a lot of relaxation. We even got to go out on the beach for a couple of hours. The weather was beautiful!
Gray's birthday goodies I had for him when
 he woke up!
Eating at the Sea Cow for the third morning in a row! We
couldn't stay away.

More pictures from Gray's birthday...I had a surprise dinner for him at California Dreaming with family. He had no idea so it all worked out great!

The next weekend we headed to Georgia for Gray's brother's wedding. This was Evie's first road trip so we were a little worried how she might do. She did fine in the car, but was a little out of sorts Saturday because of being completely off schedule. We still had a great time and enjoyed their beautiful wedding. Evie had a blast dancing at the reception and everyone loved watching her.

Evie's first fair trip was a success! She had a great time and even got to play a game. I think her favorite part was eating Gram's mini-doughnuts!

Last weekend we went to one of my high school/college friend's wedding. It was such a beautiful wedding and I loved seeing so many of my friends who I haven't seen in so long!
