Evie's first Christmas

What an exciting Christmas this was! It was a very busy one as always, but so much fun with our sweet Evie! We started so many new traditions that I look forward to continuing! We were able to visit with all of our family in two days! Here are some pictures from Evie's first Christmas. (Sorry ahead time...there are quite a few!)

Christmas Eve we woke up at my dad's house and celebrated with them!

Grand-Teddy's pride and joy
After going to church on Christmas Eve we headed to my sister-in-law's house to do Christmas with Gray's family.

One of the many gifts from Aunt Shannon. Evie is very spoiled by
Aunt Shannon!;)

Love that sweet face!

Sooo many presents!

Pure joy on her face...Priceless!

We ended Christmas day with family at my mom's house. It was a little different this year without my Granddaddy, but I know he was having his own celebration in heaven.

Christmas tradition. My sweet granddaddy always put these envelopes on
the tree, but since he is no longer with us my Grandma continued the
tradition. Such a sweet lady she is. Even Evie got one this year!

Evie loves her Uncle Chuck

Playing with her new guitar. Now she and her
daddy can play together.

Six Months Old

It feels like we have reached a milestone...6 months old! Halfway to one year old! It is seriously so hard to believe that Evie just turned 6 months old. This is such a fun age because she is "talking" all the time and laughs/smiles at just about anything. She is such a happy baby and so, so sweet. She loves to be on the floor...I think she would rather be there than anywhere. She is always rolling over. We put blankets on the floor for her to roll around on and she always ends up on the carpet off the blanket. I think it might be a game for her!:)
My dad, Evie's Grand-Teddy, just bought her an Exersaucer as an early Christmas present and she LOVES it. Evie is not one to be still a lot so this type of toy is perfect for her. There are so many gadgets for her to play with so it keeps her busy and interested!
We have started Evie on more of a breakfast, lunch, dinner schedule. She is liking solid foods. Bananas and apples seem to be her favorite. She has also had peaches and sweet potatoes, but those didn't seem to be as tasty to her. She still gets her bottle feedings which she loves!!Her sleeping habits are getting better, but still not the ideal that some parents are blessed with. Every couple of nights she will wake up once and we have to go in and rock her back to sleep. It doesn't take long and it does give Gray or myself a little extra cuddle time so we are ok with that.
We haven't been to the doctor yet for her 6 month well check. I am looking forward to seeing how much she has grown, but not looking forward to those shots. She is still wearing mostly 6 month clothes and some 9 months in pants. The girl has some long legs!
Of course time seems to pass by so fast and I feel like she does something new everyday. I am trying to soak up every second I have with her because I know I  will never get this time back! I feel so lucky to have been blessed with such a sweet, loving and healthy baby girl!

It has definitely gotten harder to take a
picture of her. She did not want to sit still (kicking legs) and
please take note of the chalkboard. Every chance she
got she wiped her hand across it. :)
