A Husband, Dad, Granddaddy, and almost Great-Granddaddy.
My sweet granddaddy was a wonderful man that left us too soon. On April 11th he went to be with his Lord and Savior. I am able to find comfort in that he isn't suffering anymore, but I miss him more than I could have ever imagined.
My granddaddy had congestive heart failure and it was causing fluid to build up on his lungs. He had been in and out of the hospital for the past two months and on his last visit he unfortunately was unable to make it back home. Prior to his last hospital visit he was at a nursing home doing rehab to help him get stronger. One of our last great memories of him was on Easter Sunday. We all went to the nursing home and went to the church they had there. We then took him out to lunch. This was the first time he had been out in quite a while. He was very happy that day even though he did not feel well at all. I am so glad we were able to do that for him and it will be something we all will remember.
My granddad was the BEST granddaddy any girl could ask for. We had one of the sweetest relationships that I will cherish for the rest of my life. I used to talk to him almost everyday even when we didn't have much to talk about. He always cared about what I had going on and was always looking for out for me. He did so much for me and I will be forever grateful to him.
I want to leave you with some of my favorite pictures of my granddaddy. Enjoy!
