Evie and Harrison

Before I forget all of these sweet moments I want to document as much as I can about my babies! They are growing up so fast and I just wish time would slow down! Watching them discover and learn new things is so much fun. I am so blessed to have a job that allows me the whole summer off with them.

Harrison is 16 months old and such a chunk! His "little" belly always pokes out and it's the cutest thing ever. He is still wearing 18 month clothes and size 4 diapers. Harrison loves his milk! His favorite foods are pizza, spaghetti, chicken, cheese, blueberries, strawberries, bananas, yogurt, green beans, and applesauce. If it is something he really likes he wants a lot of it, but if it something he doesn't like he starts throwing it on the floor. He will definitely let you know when it is something he doesn't want.
Harrison is an awesome sleeper! He sleeps about 12 hours at night and takes 1-2 naps a day. If we are home he will take 2 naps and if he just has his afternoon nap he sleeps for up 3 hours! Baby boy loves his crib and his wubanub! The best part of summer is when I get to see him wake up. He is such a happy boy when we walk in his room in the mornings. I just kiss him all over his face!!
Harrison loves to play and normally only wants Evie's toys(of course). Sharing toys is a major struggle in our house. If Harrison is playing with one of Evie's toys she immediately wants that toy even if she hasn't played with it in weeks! I love to watch Harrison play because he always finds something random and plays with it. He seems as if he is on a mission running from room to room. It's so funny to watch him! He is ALWAYS on the go!
He recently has discovered an obsession for the vacuum cleaner. Every morning he points to the door where the vacuum is and INSISTS that I vacuum. He gets Evie's minnie vacuum and follows me around. It's so funny because he seriously gets upset if I don't actually vacuum. At least he is helping me keep my floors clean!:)
Harrison LOVES his sister. He lights up whenever he sees her. When they were still in school I would pick up Evie first and then we would go to Harrison's room and he would run to her first and give the biggest hug! He still does that with her now. He just recently started saying "E-E" for Evie. Gray and I about died when we heard him say it the first time.
He is "talking" all the time, but most of it you don't know what he is saying. Some of the words he says are Dada, Momma, E-E for Evie, nana, hey and hi, uh-oh, and ball. He points to things he wants and will shake his head at stuff he doesn't want. He loves Murray and always wants to love on him.
Harrison is the SWEETEST, cutest little boy ever! I seriously kiss his face about 100 times a day. He is a Mommy's boy and he gives the best hugs and (slobbery) kisses. His face lights up when you walk in a room and anytime you look at him he smiles. His eyes...oh his eyes will MELT your heart! I absolutely love being a "boy" mommy!

Evie just turned 3 years old and is full of personality! She is in the 99th percentile for height which we figured!:) We have one tall girl! Evie absolutely loves fruit. She eats bananas, strawberries, blueberries, watermelon, honey dew melon, cantaloupe, grapes, and her favorite one, pineapple. We normally have to cut her off because she would keep eating it! Overall she is a really good eater which we are very thankful for. Evie's favorite sweet treat is a pink donut with sprinkles! Evie loves to go out to dinner so she can eat lemons. She loves lemons. We have to order her a water and a side of lemons. We allow her to eat 1-2 before her meal and maybe one after.
Evie is an "okay" sleeper! She sleeps about 10 hours most nights and normally takes a short nap. Evie loves to stay up late at night. She stalls so bad at bedtime and it drives me crazy! She loves for her daddy to tell her stories so I let him stay in there with her. Most nights he has to lay on her floor until she falls asleep! (He's the best!!)
Evie loves playing with her baby dolls and barbies. Her new favorite thing is to go in her room, shut the door and play. She keeps her door shut for one reason only...to keep her brother out. She is extremely particular about how things are set up and not letting anyone mess with it. I love to just watch her play because her imagination is just so awesome. Evie also loves music, dancing, Peppa Pig, books, and playing outside. She LOVES swimming and asks if we can go to the pool just about everyday! We are planning to take swimming lessons in a few weeks.
Evie will allow Harrison to play with her on occasions. Normally he takes what she is playing with and then she gets upset, takes it, which leads Harrison to get upset. It makes for some fun days!:) She does love her little brother though. She calls him "buddy" and it's just the cutest thing ever! She also likes to call him pookie-pie! She is a big helper when it comes to helping me when I have my hands full. She will help carry things to the car, help carry a grocery bag in, or go get something when I need it.
It is so hard to believe Evie is already 3 years old. It feels like yesterday that I was spending my summer with a newborn. She has such a soft heart and just so incredibly sweet. She will tell me she loves me out of the blue and will give me a hug and a kiss. She is a mommy's girl especially with me being home for summer. I love my little girl so much and just feel so blessed that I get to be her mommy!

Father's Day

I am so blessed to have an awesome dad who has always been by my side no matter what and an awesome husband who is the best daddy to our babies! I love a day devoted to them because they
deserve to feel extra special!
There is nothing greater than watching your children interact with their daddy. Gray is such a devoted father and I couldn't ask for anyone better! He does so much for us and always makes us feel so loved!
We had a great Father's Day! We had lunch with family and friends at Lexington Country Club and then visited with my dad later in the day! I love Sundays!!!

Harrison is ONE

It's still hard to believe that my little baby boy is now a one year old. I have had a hard time coming to terms with it. This is a fun age though and I just love watching him grow and learn new things.
Harrison turned one on February 25th. He weighs 24 pounds and is 30 inches long. He is a short, chunky monkey! He is officially on all whole milk now. He loves almost all fruits, green beans, bread, yogurt, and cheerios. He is a picky eater, but when he finds something he likes he eats A LOT of it!
He is an OK sleeper. He will usually go on a stretch of good sleep for about a week and then he will wake up a few nights in a row. I honestly think he misses us because he is completely fine when we are rocking him or letting him lay in our bed with us. I try to take in those moments even if they are at 2 o'clock in the morning and I have to be up at 5 o'clock. He will only be this little once!
Harrison started daycare about a month ago and the transition has not been easy for him (or us).  He of course has been sick pretty much since he started. I was hoping since he was a little older and has been around Evie who is in daycare it would't have been so bad...well not so much. Hopefully now that the weather is getting warmer it will be better.
I know I say this all the time, but he seriously is the sweetest boy. He loves being held and being loved on. He gives the sweetest "hugs" and "kisses". He will run to you and just dive into your arms when you are on the floor. He just melts my heart over and over again.

For Harrison's first birthday we decided to have a baseball themed party.  I was inspired by a door hanger that my dad gave Harrison before he was born. We had it hanging on his hospital door when he was born! It was such an easy party to plan. We had nachos, boiled peanuts, popcorn, cracker jacks, candy, and cupcakes! Unfortunately Harrison did have an ear infection so he wasn't his normal happy self at his party. He did okay for the most part. By the end he was ready for a nap though!
The Royal Cookie Company never disappoints. Her cookies are AMAZING! We had gloves, baseballs,1s, and bats.
I always enjoy making my own chalkboard.
I love the way the banner turned out. A sweet friend at work helped make the cut outs and they looked great!

Harrison was not feeling his birthday hat at first. Eventually he didn't mind wearing it, but this picture was just too funny!
The one time she sat still long enough to snap a picture!
I love watching these 3 grow up together! They are the sweetest!

Shelley and I have been friends since 5th grade. I hope that our boys will be friends forever too! Love going through motherhood with this girl!
Little Levi is the cutest!!!

My dad loves to buy these funny gifts for his grand babies. I love when he does things like this.  :)

Since we had already done a cake smash we decided to just do a cupcake
at his party. It was the best decision because the clean up was super easy!

Ohhhh Evie...not wanting to smile!

We tried hard to get a family photo with all 4 of us...this was the best we could get. Harrison just wasn't up for many pictures.
My ONE year old.

My precious, sweet baby boy. Words can't even express how much I love you.  You light up my life daily and just make my heart so happy. You have been such an amazing blessing that I thank God for daily. I love you to the moon and back!

Picture fun

It is always fun to try and get good family pictures. You end up taking about 100-200 for about 5 to be worth using. I do love looking through all of them because they make me laugh at just how many we had to take and some of the faces that we made! So thankful for my sweet friend Shelley for taking pictures for us every Christmas!
