Daddy-daughter time

One of my favorite things these days is seeing Evie with her daddy. He is such an AMAZING father and I can't wait to watch their relationship grow as she gets older! I seriously don't know what I would do without him! There have been many nights where he has to be up bright and early the next morning for work, but gets up to help me because I am barely able to keep my eyes open! He is an EXPERT at swaddling too! Every time I try to swaddle her she manages to get an arm out, but when he does she is locked in! He even gets up in the middle of the night to swaddle her after I have fed her!
There is nothing better than walking in the room to hear your husband singing to your daughter!  All of these moments I will cherish for the rest of my life. Thanks babe for being the best father and husband!

Newborn photos

I was so excited to have newborn photos taken of Evie. I love looking at baby photography and couldn't wait to have some of Evie. We used Becca Tomlinson for our  pictures and she did an AMAZING job. Seriously, I am in love with every photo she took! Evie did such a great job during this photo shoot. I made sure to feed her right before Becca started so she would be in what she called a "milk coma". While taking the pictures she put a heating pad under the blankets to help keep her relaxed and sleepy. This definitely worked and she slept the entire time! It was hard to narrow down pictures for this post so I may have gone a little overboard. Oops! I hope you enjoy them as much as we have!

Love the smile on her face!

Grandma snuck in a couple of pictures with Evie

This picture is very special to me. This owl was purchased by my
mom and grandma in the hospital gift shop the day my granddaddy
passed away. We decided to "name" the owl Charlie after him!

Hospital Photos

While we were in the hospital they offered to take pictures if you wanted them to. Gray and I decided to do it even though we already had set up to have newborn pictures at home. We knew we didn't have to buy any of them so we decided to see how they would turn out. When we got home from the hospital that night the pictures were already posted on their website. I was so excited to see how they turned out because Evie was so alert for all of them. When we looked at them I couldn't help but cry (tears of joy, of course)! It was so surreal that I was looking at my baby girl.
We of course ended up loving them so we decided to purchase the cd! Here are some of our favorites!
Priceless look!

Love these feet

This face makes my heart melt!

Gray and I hadn't planned on being in them, but I am glad we did. Such sweet pictures!:)
Hope you enjoyed these! I will be posting some of her pictures from the newborn shoot next time!

One Month Old

It is so hard to believe that our baby girl is a month old. It seems like yesterday when we were heading to the hospital in labor. This past month has been such an amazing experience. There have been some hard days, but I wouldn't trade them for anything. When she looks up at me with those beautiful eyes my heart melts every time!

We went back to the doctor this past week because Evie has been having some reflux. The doctor put her on some medicine and we are hoping that will make her feel better. Her weight gain has been great and she has even grown a half an inch. She wears mostly newborn clothes and some 0-3 months.

She has been sleeping really good at night lately which makes Mommy and Daddy very happy! She loves sitting in her bouncer seat as long as you keep it moving!:) When she is being held you have to be constantly moving and usually standing up! She is making the cutest noises and always smiles when she is falling asleep!

First week at home

Evie had a lot of family and friends who came to visit her during our first week at home. We loved seeing everyone and so glad they were able to meet our baby girl!

Coming home

After our two day stay in the hospital we were able to come home! We were so excited to get our baby girl home to meet her big brother Murray!:) We weren't sure how he would react because he hadn't been around many babies. It took him a little while to adjust to her movements and noises, but he has been such a good boy! You can tell he is attention deprived because any chance one of us isn't holding Evie he is in our lap!
