Gray and I are blessed to have so many sweet family and friends who have been incredibly supportive throughout our pregnancy. 37 Weeks

I love the fact that I am considered full term!  Gray and I are both very ready to meet our sweet baby! This past week of pregnancy has been rough. My sciatic nerve decided it wants to act up to the point of hardly being able to walk. I wasn't able to do much at all this weekend! My husband was sweet enough to take me to get a massage because the doctor suggested that that might help. I am definitely not back to 100%, but it did help a little bit. Unfortunately I may be dealing with this until she makes her arrival. I do know the end result will be worth this pain! :)

How big is the baby? About 6.5 pounds

Weight Gain: YES and definite swelling! The joys of pregnancy!

Gender: GIRL!!!!

Maternity Clothes? Most definitely!

Sleep?  Not the best because of having to get up every 2 hours to use the bathroom and this lovely sciatic nerve pain.

Food Cravings: Eating A LOT these days and always hungry! I have been eating a lot of special k, bananas, blueberries, pop tarts and ice cream. (Yes I know not exactly the healthiest!)

Movement: Lots of movement! It actually hurts sometimes when I'm not expecting it!

What I miss? Being comfortable. I am at the point where every position I sit or lay in I am not comfortable. My feet are quite swollen so it is hard to stand for a long period of time because they end up being on fire!

What I am looking forward to? I am so ready to meet our baby girl!

A Wonderful Man

A Husband, Dad, Granddaddy, and almost Great-Granddaddy.

My sweet granddaddy was a wonderful man that left us too soon. On April 11th he went to be with his Lord and Savior. I am able to find comfort in that he isn't suffering anymore, but I miss him more than I could have ever imagined.
My granddaddy had congestive heart failure and it was causing fluid to build up on his lungs. He had been in and out of the hospital for the past two months and on his last visit he unfortunately was unable to make it back home. Prior to his last hospital visit he was at a nursing home doing rehab to help him get stronger. One of our last great memories of him was on Easter Sunday. We all went to the nursing home and went to the church they had there. We then took him out to lunch. This was the first time he had been out in quite a while. He was very happy that day even though he did not feel well at all. I am so glad we were able to do that for him and it will be something we all will remember.
My granddad was the BEST granddaddy any girl could ask for. We had one of the sweetest relationships that I will cherish for the rest of my life. I used to talk to him almost everyday even when we didn't have much to talk about. He always cared about what I had going on and was always looking for out for me. He did so much for me and I will be forever grateful to him.

I want to leave you with some of my favorite pictures of my granddaddy. Enjoy!
Most precious couple ever. They would have been married 62 years in
October of this year.

61st wedding anniversary dinner!

So thankful my photographer captured this picture of
us at my wedding.

I had a dance dedicated to him at my wedding!

Another great one my photographer captured at
my wedding reception.

Love this picture of my Uncle Chuck and Granddaddy. Granddaddy always
knew how to make Chuck laugh!
He loved Carolina baseball.

30 Weeks

It is hard to believe that I am 30 weeks pregnant. It seems like just yesterday when we found out we were pregnant! It is so exciting to think that in 10 or so weeks we get to meet our baby girl! I've been a little stressed until today because I didn't pass my first glucose test. This morning I had to go to the hospital to take the three hour test. This was not how I wanted to start my week off, but my sweet husband came with me so that made it a little bit easier. He really is such a trooper and has been so amazing throughout my pregnancy!
We had our 30 week appointment today as well and everything looked great and I PASSED my second glucose test. That was such a relief to hear! The baby is measuring right on schedule and my blood pressure is great. The next time we go back to the doctor we will be having a 3D/4D ultrasound and I can't wait!!! I have heard so many great things about having it done and how real everything looks!

25 Weeks

How big is the baby? About 2 pounds (as big as an Eggplant)

Weight Gain: Up about 10-12 pounds from my starting weight.

Gender: GIRL!!!!

Maternity Clothes? Most definitely!

Sleep?  Some nights are better than others. I do have to get up to go to the bathroom a couple times a night which is not fun!

Food Cravings: Eating A LOT these days and always hungry! I always want something sweet and I am loving milk! I usually have a huge glass every night!

Movement: Lots of movement and we are actually able to see them from the outside. This is one of the sweetest moments I have experienced so far in my pregnancy!

What I miss? Being able to eat cold lunch meat. I LOVE subs/sandwiches and having to eat them heated does not always satisfy me!

What I am looking forward to? I can't wait until our baby showers and I am ready to decorate the nursery!!
